Type Locality: Kenya, Mathews Range, Mt. Gargues.

Vernacular Names: Mt. Gargues Pipistrelle.

Distribution: NW Kenya, perhaps Ethiopia.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Data Deficient.

Discussion: Subgenus Pipistrellus . The Ethiopian specimens in the British Museum are clearly kuhlii ; see Hayman and Hill (1971).
