Distribution: — Anthurium scandens subsp. scandens is not endemic to Brazil, but occurs in most of the states (Acre, Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Pernambuco, Distrito Federal, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, and Santa Catarina) ( Flora do Brasil 2020). It was found near the office of the Park and at the Pedra do Pato (central PESB) and Laje do Ouro (northern PESB) trails.

Ecology and phenology: —In the PESB, it was found with flowers and ripe berries in February, July and November, corroborating with Sakuragui et al. (2013) who indicated this species’ fertile period throughout the year. Only one individual per phorophyte was observed.

Taxonomic notes: —Easily recognized by the dark glandular dots on its leaf blade.
