Shenius Serène, 1971 View in CoL
Shenius Serène, 1971: 903 View in CoL , 916; Serène and Umali, 1972: 92; Ng, Guinot and Davie, 2008: 235.
Type species
Camptandrium anomalum Shen, 1935 , by original designation; gender masculine.
Diagnosis
As for subfamily.
Remarks
With regards to the gender of Shenius, Serène (1971) named the genus after C. J. Shen but gave no indication of the gender. In such cases, the gender should be treated as masculine. In the introduction of his paper, Serène (1971: 903) listed the species as “ Shenius anomalus ”. However, in his diagnosis and discussion of the genus (Serène, 1971: 917), he referred to the species as “ Shenius anomalum ”, treating the new genus as neuter. As Shenius is masculine, the species name should be “ anomalus ”.
