Remarks: Marques et al. (2006) and Shimabukuro et al. (2006) considered their sterile material as non-identifiable.
Distribution in South America: polyp—Atlantic Ocean, Brazil, from 3°S to 4°S, from 5°S to 6.50°S, at 9.67°S 35.69°W, at 17.96°S 38.75°W, from 21.50°S to 24°S, from 31.50°S to 32.50°S (Nogueira et al. 1997; Horta et al. 2001, abstract; Grohmann et al. 2003; Migotto et al. 2004; Marques et al. 2006; Shimabukuro et al. 2006; Shimabukuro 2007).
Habitat: polyp—on algae, ascidians, bryozoans, Microphrys bicornutus , mussels, sponges (Marques et al. 2006; Shimabukuro et al. 2006; Shimabukuro 2007).
