Distribution in South America: polyp—Pacific Ocean, Chile, from 41.85°S to 52.93°S (Jäderholm 1904a p. 4–5; Leloup 1974 p. 22–23; Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2003 p. 2654, 2689–91; Galea et al. 2014 p. 41–43); Atlantic Ocean, Argentina, from 46°S to 54.83°S (Blanco 1981a, 1994a; El Beshbeeshy 1991, 2011; Genzano & Zamponi 1997; Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2003).
Habitat: polyp—from around 18 to 500m depth (Jäderholm 1904a p. 4–5; Leloup 1974 p. 22–23; Blanco 1981a, 1994a; El Beshbeeshy 1991, 2011; Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2003).
