One ♀ possible syntype with labels: “ ♀ Ovalou, Fidji Isl., M H de Saussure” [handwritten on ruled white card]; “ Arachnocephalus maritimus Sauss. ” [handwritten on lilac paper]; “Possible syntype of A. maritimus Sauss., Hollier 2011 ” [handwritten on red paper]. Specimen lacks most of both antennae and the last tarsal segment of the right hind leg. The left middle leg is detached but secured by the other legs, and the ovipositor is broken. There is a ♀ syntype, erroneously referred to as the holotype in OSF, in the RMNH in Leiden. Box A 18 .
