Lectotype (Rossbach in Rhodora 42: 135, pl. 591. 1940): Herb. Clifford: 173, Arenaria 3, sheet B (BM-000628543) .

Current name: Spergularia salina J. Presl & C. Presl View in CoL ( Caryophyllaceae ).

Note: Fernald & Wiegand (in Rhodora 12: 158. 1910) argued for the rejection of this name as a nomen confusum. Following Rossbach’s typification, the correct name at the rank of species is Spergularia salina J. Presl & C. Presl.
