Remarks. The species is recorded by Caradja for several times, but we did not check the specimens in his works. The specimens we identified are mainly based on the redescription of Hampson (1896, 1897).
This species is similar to G. e r m i n e u s ( Moore, 1886) in both external and genital characters. In external character, both species have a black spot on submarginal area and a black patch on the middle of inner margin on forewing, but this species has the black patch larger. In genital character, both species have a spine-like cornutus in aedeagus and similar juxta, but this species has the cornutus stronger and the costal arm sharper and slender than G. e r m i n e u s; in female genitalia, the two species are similar except the ostium bursa. The examined materials of G. ermineus are from Sri Lanka.
