Note: Merrill & Perry (in J. Arnold Arbor. 22: 386. 1941) stated that "the Osbeck specimen [in LINN] is unquestionably the type" but did not distinguish between (presumably) 1051.41 and 1051.42, neither of which is annotated as having come from Osbeck (see Hansen & Fox Maule in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 67: 198. 1973). There is also an extensive review by Moeliono & Tuyn in van Steenis, Fl. Malesiana, ser. I, 6: 129. 1960).
