Diagnosis. Diplommatinidae is characterized by small conical, spindle shaped or almost cylindrical shells with a usually irregularly coiled spire and a more or less distinctive constriction of the last whorl, which is often equipped with internal lamellae and folds, but without accessory breathing tube at the suture.
