Terrestrial trees. Distribution in PILA – 1500 m, mixed forest in transition to cloud forest. Global distribution: Elevation unknown. Endemic to Costa Rica. Records: González 473 ( INB) .
The above material was determined as being of a currently undescribed species by Nelson Zamora (pers. comm.). This species will be included in the Manual de Plantas de Costa Rica (MO, Hammel et al., in prep.).
