Hemi-epiphytic shrubs. Distribution in PILA 100–1000 m, low elevation mixed forest, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest. Global distribution: Costa Rica, Panama. Records: D. Solano 4838 (BM, INB, PMA), G. Herrera 5294 (CR, INB, MO).
