Chorology: Afrotropical (widespread).

Literature. Saudi Arabia: Jeddah [= Jiddah, 21°31’01”N 39°13’09”E] ( Lewis 1879, as type of Pachychroeus arabicus ) ; Asir Mts., Manaiel [?], 4.IV.1983, 1 ex. ( Mazur 1994) . Yemen: Aden [=`Adan, 12°46’46”N 45°02’12”E] ( Desbordes 1922) .
