Material examined (taken by beating): INDONESIA, SUMATRA, Lampung, Wailalaan , 200m, 1 male, 17.XII.1995, ESK .
Remarks: This species was described from two males collected at high elevation on Balegondang (Mt. Bromo) East Java, and is separable from all Oriental species on the unusual feature of the hypandrium. The phallosome is also distinctive with a tine and very short apical bifurcation. The specimen examined above is typical for Ptycta serrata .
