Artbeschreibung: Wie E. ovata , aber bis 60 cm hoch, mit kurzen unterirdischen Ausläufern. Stängel bis 2 mm dick. Ähre 8-16 mm lang. Griffelbasis 0,5-0,8 mm breit, 2/3 bis fast so breit wie die Frucht.
