Novantinoe hovorei Santos-Silva, 2007: 589 ; Swift et al., 2010: 68 (distr.); Lingafelter et al., 2014: 77 (type); Monné, 2018: 215 (cat.); Bezark, 2019: 10 (checklist).

This species was described from Costa Rica (Puntarenas, Guanacaste), based on males and females. Currently it remains known only from this country.

Material examined. PANAMA (New country record), Chiriquí: Finca Hartman (above Ojo de Agua ; 8.8667N / 82.7407W; 1570–1770 m), 1 female, 24.V.2018, E.G. Riley ( DHCO) .

Obs.: Although they are not listed in “material examined”, the second author already examined photographs of other specimens also collected in Panama.
