DEDSZC-CRU-281: Male, 329 mm TL, 152 mm TaL, 108 mm CL, 96 mm CW, fresh weight 665 g. Date: 01/31/ 2016. Location: Morro Prieto, Bahía de Navidad, Jalisco, México (19°13.581’ N, 104°45.261’ W), depth 20 m. Collector: Juan Carlos Quiroz.

DEDSZC-CRU-282: Female (ovigerous), 392.5 mm TL, 185 mm TaL, 124.5 mm CL, 113 mm CW, fresh weight 995 g. Date: 02/17/2016. Location: La Tortuga, Manzanillo, Colima, México (19°4.926’ N, 104°26.397’ W), depth 15 m. Collector: Francisco Contreras. ( Fig 2 ).

Remarks. The specimen examined DEDSZC-CRU-282 was one of the largest reported (maximum known size: 378 mm TL: Hearn 2004), a berried female with eggs in early stage of development (light orange, Fig. 2 ).
