Type Locality: Libya, "Wadi Bey", NW of Bonjem, Tripoli.
Vernacular Names: Val's Gundi.
Synonyms: Ctenodactylus joleaudi Heim de Balsac 1936 .
Distribution: S Morocco, W Algeria, S Tunisia, NW Libya.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Ranck (1968:253) and Corbet (1978:160) included vali in gundi , but George (1982) and Corbet and Hill (1991) listed both as distinct species.
