Generitype of Dorstenia Linnaeus (vide Hitchcock, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 126. 1929).

Current name: Dorstenia contrajerva L. View in CoL ( Moraceae ).

Note: Barrie’s (in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 43. 1993) choice of a Houstoun figure as type is pre-dated by Berg’s 1992 choice of a Plumier plate.
