Genus Andrusovia Brusina in Westerlund, 1902a View in CoL

Type species.

Andrusovia dybowskii Brusina in Westerlund, 1902a; by original designation. Caspian Sea, Recent.

Discussion.

The subfamily placement of the genus follows Vinarski and Kantor (2016: 214) and is based on the resemblance with species of the genus Horatia Bourguignat, 1887 (see also discussion in Starobogatov 2000). A recent molecular phylogeny including the Hydrobiidae suggests the Horatiinae to be distinct from the Belgrandiinae ( Wilke et al. 2013; see also Bank 2017). We follow Starobogatov (2000) and regard Caspiohoratia Logvinenko & Starobogatov, 1969 as a junior synonym of Andrusovia .
