Prospoliata bicolor Bondar (1946: 100 , description), Vaurie (1953: 8, lectotype designation).

Solanobaris bicolor : Silva et al. (2009: 49, genus name unavailable).

Prospoliata bicolorata Hustache (1950: 90 View in CoL , description), Silva & Almeida-Cortez (2006: 35, biology), Santos et al. (2011: 65, biology); new synonymy.

Centrinus cuneatus : Hustache 1928 ms (nomen nudum).

Diagnosis. Among the large humped species, C. bicolor is the only one with a red prothorax and subtly vermiculate disc. It has the least separated procoxae (distinctly less than their own diameter) in this group.
