9. Marsypianthes chamaedrys ( Vahl 1794: 77) Kuntze (1891: 524) View in CoL ( Figure 7F View FIGURE 7 )
EOO: 39,287.092 km 2. AOO: 148.000 km 2. IUCN Assessment: Least Concern
Marsypianthes chamaedrys View in CoL is distributed throughout Brazil, in all regions, states (except Rio Grande do Sul), and the Amazon, Caatinga, Cerrado and Atlantic Forest phytogeographic domains ( BFG 2015). In RN, it was found in various areas from the coast to the interior of the state, in dunes, semideciduous forest and caatinga vegetation. Some populations were found in protected areas, such as RPPN Stoessel de Brito and the Seridó Ecological Station. The species was assessed as LC because it does not fit any IUCN (2001) criteria and has a wide distribution in the state.
