(figures 2, 20)
Shell (figure 20). Indistinguishable from C. joannis .
Measurements. Tortum 3 km towards Narman (N =20); D= 13.1–17.3 mm, B = 15.8 mm; H= 7.8–10.9 mm, B = 9.6 mm; D/H=1.50–1.87, B =1.64.
Remarks. Caucasocressa taochorum differs from the related species in the ratio epiphallus: flagellum (see table 2), which is higher than that of the geographically neighbouring C. tortumensis , but lower than that of C. schmalzi and C. phasiana . It differs from C. tortumensis and C. phasiana also in the higher epiphallus: vagina ratio and from C. schmalzi in the distinctly narrower umbilicus, taking only 7–11% of the shell breadth.
Etymology. The species epithet refers to the occurrence of the species in the land of the ancient tribe Taochi ( taochorum , genitive plural).
Type locality. V. Erzurum: Tortum 3 km towards Narman , rocks, GE26 .
Distribution and material (figure 2). Caucasocressa taochorum is known only from the type locality east of Tortum.
