Material examined. Malta, Verdala Palace, 25.vi.–10. vii.2014, 1 ♂, Malaise trap, DM.

Notes. A new record for the Maltese Islands. This is a predominantly West-Palaearctic species, found also on the Pacific coasts of North America. Generally it is associated with the dead branches of conifers, but is occasionally found also on other trees and shrubs ( Lienhard 1998).
