- Fianarantsoa, Madagascar (Gietlen).

L'augmentation de nos connaissances sur les Pheidole HNS m'amene a separer specifiquement la Ph. punctulata Mayr HNS de la mega- cephala. Les sexes ailes de la race picata HNS en particulier ont les ailes beaucoup plus longues et les nervures plus pales que la megacephala HNS . Je rattache donc les formes malgaches comme sous- especes a la punctulata HNS .
