Emended diagnosis. Lateral differentiation of cuticle of larger and more wide-spaced dots sometimes in form of longitudinal rows of punctuations. Buccal cavity small, with a dorsal tooth and sub-ventral teeth greatly reduced or absent. No posterior pharyngeal bulb. Precloacal supplements present or absent. Generally cup-shaped precloacal supplements (conical setae protruding from the body of the cup-shaped supplements in L. maldivarum ). Gubernaculum distally dentate, paired. Tail with elongate slender flagellum.
