scientific name

Allium luteolum Halácsy, Consp. Fl. Graec.
status

Allium luteolum Halácsy, Consp. Fl. Graec. View in CoL 3 (1): 256–257. 1904.

Current name: Allium luteolum

Syntype:—[ Greece] In Cycladum ins. Naxos : July 1897, C . Leonis s.n. ( WU 0079153 ) .

In the protologue Halácsy (1904a) cited a gathering from Heldreich´s Plantae exsicc. Florae Hellenicae dating back to 1897, it thus remains unclear why Brullo et al. (2001) consider a gathering collected in 1889 as the type in WU. No such material could be found in the herbarium WU.
