Distribution. Nearctic, recorded from A/S ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). Canada: AB, LB, MB, NB, NF, NT, NU, ON, QC, YT. USA: AK, IA, ME, MO, NH, NY.
Collection and Habitat data. In NH found in Alnus litter and Sphagnum near pond, with the Durham site at the margin of a freshwater marsh. Collected in June and from September to November. In AK found in Salix leaf litter ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). In Canada recorded from litter near various wetlands; sifted from moss and leaf litter along a stream, from Alnus and Sphagnum litter near a pond, treading sedges around edge of pond, and in drift material on upper river margins. Also, in gilled mushrooms in a spruce and fir forest, and in vegetation on coastal sand dunes; a few were captured flying at dusk ( Webster et al. 2009, Klimaszewski et al. 2006, 2021).
Material. USA, New Hampshire, Coos Co.: 8 mi S Gorham, Pinkham Notch, 2000’, 11.IX.1987, J.M. Campbell and A. Davies, sifting Alnus litter and Sphagnum near pond ( CNC), 1 sex? Strafford Co.: 1 mi SW Durham, 11–18.VI.1987, 1 male, 1 female; 15.X–4.XI.1987, D.S. Chandler, FIT, 1 female.
