Distribution. Nearctic; northeastern Canada ranging south to North Carolina at high elevations. Canada: NB, NS, ON, QC. USA: IA, NC (NSR), NH (NSR).
Collection and Habitat data. The NH specimens were captured in material associated with old conifer logs, leaf litter on spring edge, Sphagnum in mist zone of waterfall, and litter by a stream; collected by a FIT on the margin of a freshwater bog. Adults were taken from May to November. In Canada associated with various riparian habitats and plant associations in forests. In QC found in deep moldy leaf litter along base of large rock blocks, and in layers of moist dead fern leaves and detritus under ferns.The ON specimens were found in grass, leaf litter and alder leaf litter ( Klimaszewski et al. 2018).

Comments. Assing (2019) reviewed the species of this genus and split the former Blepharhymenus into three genera. According to his classification, Nearctic Blepharhymenus should be treated as Colusa Casey, 1885 .
