Distribution. Nearctic, transcontinental in Canada, recorded from A/S ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021).

Canada: AB, BC, LB, MB, NB, NF, ON, QC, SK, YT. USA: AK, ME ( NSR), NH ( NSR).

Collection and Habitat data. The NH specimens were captured from June to October in a mixed forest, rotten wood, and in leaf litter by a stream. Taken primarily by flight intercept traps, with one each taken by a pitfall and a Malaise trap. In AK adults were found in a variety of coniferous and deciduous forests, transitioning into shrubby/Krummholz habitats in alpine tundra; also, in decaying mushrooms in Betula forest ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). In Canada also found in a variety of coniferous, mixed and hardwood/deciduous forest types; also, in decaying mushrooms (polypore and gilled) and sometimes in fresh mushrooms of various species, such as rotting lobster mushrooms, and a coral mushroom on spruce log ( Webster et al. 2012). Also captured in unbaited and carrion-baited pitfall traps, and in-flight intercept traps in various coniferous (spruce-feathermoss, spruce-lichen forests), mixed (spruce / aspen, riparian), and deciduous forests in NF and LB ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021).
