Distribution. Nearctic, littoral species. Canada: BC, NB, NF, NS, QC. USA: AK, CA, FL, MA, NH (NSR), NJ, NY, RI, VA.

Collection and Habitat data. A seashore species. In NH captured from April to July in beach wrack and grass litter in marsh. Elsewhere recorded from seashores, especially sandy beaches and in nearby dunes; also in rotting seaweed and organic debris ( Klimaszewski 1984).
