Moderate size, slender species. Length 6.15–7.10 mm. General color varied from dark tan with black band on forewings to unicolorous brown to reddish-brown. Head narrower than pronotum; crown very narrow, much narrower than width of eyes, lateral margins carinate, anterior margin produced beyond anterior margin of eyes; pronotum about equal in length to crown; mesonotum about equal in length to pronotum; forewings as in Paralidia ; clypellus narrow basally; male pygofer with paired caudal processes; subgenital plate always pilose; aedeagus tubular, shaft never glabrous, with spines, teeth or flanges along middle and with spines or ligulae apically.
Remarks. The genus was formed from fragmentation of Paralidia with a new species added to the group. Three species now comprise the genus. The larger pronotum and mesonotum, and presence of armaments along the middle of the shaft will separate Armaturolidia from Paralidia .
