Material examined. COSTA RICA. PUNTARENAS: Punta Morales, Proyecto Manglares, 0m, 20 XII. 1998, F. Mejía, 1 M, 3 F, 6 immatures ( MZUCR); Estero Troya, Playa Blanca, Puerto Jiménez, Osa, 0m, I. 2009, A. Castillo, 11 M, 4 F, 3 immatures ( MZUCR).

Ecological notes. This species was collected in a mangrove swamp and an estuary close to the Pacific coast of Costa Rica at the sea level; it shared this estuarine habitat with the water strider Telmatometroides rozeboomi .
