Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4
Material examined: 2♀, Abu Arish (Jazan), 16–23.iii.2023, Malaise trap in Mangifera indica, Usama M. Abu El-Ghiet collector .
Comments. Dolichurus arabicus was up to now the only representative of the genus Dolichurus in the Arabian Peninsula ( Ohl, 2011; Soliman et al., 2017; Gadallah, 2020). It was first described from the United Arab Emirates by Ohl (2011). The male of D. arabicus was first recorded in Saudi Arabia by Soliman et al. (2017) from Abha (Raydah) and Al-Baha. This is the first record of the female from Abu Arish (Jazan). Characters of female agree well with Ohl’s key (2011: 476, couplet 3), his description ( Ohl, 2011: 478) as well as Ohl (2011: 481, figs 5, 6). It differs from the male mainly in having the gaster bicolored (black and red) ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ) (body entirely black in male, see Soliman et al., 2017: 2065, fig. 4a).
