Type material. Holotype male, China, Yunnan Province, Xishuangbana Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Mengla County, Menglun Town , Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden , Tropical Rainforest , 21°54.982′N, 101°16.216′E, elev. 558m, L.Y. Wang, G.Q. Huang and Z.S. Wu leg. GoogleMaps Paratypes: 1 male and 1 female, with same data as holotype GoogleMaps .
Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality. Banna is an abbreviated name for Xishuangbanna.
Diagnosis. This species is similar to D. longiceps ( Thorell, 1895) ( Dimitrov et al. 2010: 15, figs 4A–F, 5A–D, 6A–D, 7), and D. junlitjri ( Barrion-Dupo & Barrion, 2014) ( Barrion-Dupo & Barrion 2014: 196, figs 1A–N), in having six eyes (PME absent), wide conductor, wide and crooked ecto-basal cymbial process, oval epigynal atrium, but differs from the others by the small, short and horned metine embolic apophysis, the wide, truncate and grooved of the conductor end, the long and unforked ecto-basal cymbial process, the oval paracymbium of male palp ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 A–C, 3E–H), the wide and oval epigynal atrium, the short copulatory ducts, the small and cambered spermathecae and the closer fertilization ducts ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 D–E, 3I–J).
Description. Male holotype ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 A–C) total length 7.47. Prosoma 3.79 long, 2.60 wide; Opisthosoma 4.30 long, 2.65 wide. Dorsum of prosoma yellow brown, with gray brown markings. Cervical groove distinct, radial furrows indistinct. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.29, ALE 0.23, PME lost, PLE 0.26; AME–AME 0.12, AME–ALE 0.17, PLE–PLE 0.97, ALE–PLE 0.27. Clypeus height 0.09. Chelicerae long and strong, brown, with 3 promarginal and 4 retromarginal teeth. Gnathocoxae and labium yellow brown, longer than wide. Sternum yellow brown, scutellate, with sparse black hairs. Legs yellow brown, with black pigmentation. Leg measurements: I 20.23 (5.99, 7.19, 5.34, 1.71); II 14.23 (4.30, 4.87, 3.71, 1.35); III 7.24 (2.41, 2.11, 1.78, 0.94); IV 10.70 (3.40, 3.37, 2.85, 1.08). Leg formula: 1243. Opisthosoma oval. Both dorsum and venter yellowish brown, with black and white markings.
Male palp ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 A–C, 3E–H). Embolus slender, its basal part resting in a groove of a large and complex conductor. Metainae embolic apophysis sclerotized, with a triangular end. Conductor large and helical. Paracymbium small and oval, with black long hairs. Ecto-basal cymbial process hook-like, widest in the basal part.
Female total length 13.35. Prosoma 4.36 long, 2.75 wide; opisthosoma 8.49 long, 5.11 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.32, ALE 0.23, PME lost, PLE 0.25; AME–AME 0.11, AME–ALE 0.22, PLE–PLE 1.09, ALE–PLE 0.35. Clypeus height 0.15. Leg measurements: I 18.22 (5.62, 6.47, 4.56, 1.57); II 13.50 (4.17, 4.61, 3.49, 1.23); III 6.88 (2.26, 2.05, 1.69, 0.88); IV 11.59 (3.91, 3.44, 3.13, 1.11). Leg formula: 1243.
Epigynum ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 D–E, 3I–J). Atrium oval. Spermathecae small and chambered. Fertilization ducts small, close to each other, pointing anterior-laterally.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality, Yunnan, China.
