Distribution: Australia and New Guinea.
Ethology: One species is reported to nest in burrows excavated in the soil, with a mud entrance funnel; it has also been reported to use old wasp nest cells. Prey: caterpillars. Another species has been reported to usurp nests of Abispa ephippium , and provision the cells with caterpillars stolen from other nests.
