Morophagoides ussuriensis ( Caradja, 1920) View in CoL
[Japanese name: Usuri-Shiitake-ohirozukoga] Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 F, 2F, 8A–H
Scardia ussuriensis Caradja, 1920: 167 View in CoL . [Type locality: Bucharest]
Morophagoides ussuriensis: Petersen, 1957: 593 View in CoL , figs. 246, 247; Zagulajev, 1973: 111, figs. 8B, 9B, 14Б, 15Г, 17Г Г, 18Б, 40, 44A, 89–92; Robinson, 1986: 67, figs. 10, 80; Ponomarenko & Park, 1996: 278; Gaedike, 2000: 359, 372; Osada et al., 2013: 18, figs. 1c–d, 2b, 4a–h; Sakai, 2013: 120, pl. 3-11-9, figs. Tin3.-3b.
Morophagoides moriutii: Robinson, 1986: 68 View in CoL , figs. 141 (genitalia slide nos. 12360, 12360; BMNH).
Diagnosis. In the male genitalia, the uncal lobes are knuckled, the apex of the uncus is angularly divergent, the inner surface of the valva is almost covered with membrane and the valva is ventrally concave. In the female genitalia, the lateral margin of the ostium bursae is weakly angular, the posterior margin of the ostium bursae is weakly concave, the antrum is stout and about 1/3 as long as the apophysis anterioris.
Description. See Osada et al. (2013).
Wing markings ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 F).
Wing shape and venation ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 F).
Male genitalia ( Figs 8 View FIGURE 8 A–F).
Female genitalia ( Figs 8 View FIGURE 8 G–H).
Distribution. JAPAN: Hokkaido, Honshu (Aomori) and Tsushima Is. (Nagasaki); Russia (Amur, Chabarovsk and Maritime Territories), Korea and Taiwan (Arizan).
Remarks. We confirmed the occurrence of this species in the north of Japan and the Tsushima Is. Damage caused by this species is particularly extensive in the Tsushima Is. Although we consider that Taiwanese material illustrated by Robinson (1986; Figs. 82, 141) represents another different undescribed species ( Osada et al., 2013), the morphological characteristics of the female genitalia illustrated as M. moriutii by Robinson (1986; Figs. 141) agree with those of M. ussuriensis .
