"Habitat in Sicilia, Hispania ad fossas." RCN: 3557.

Lectotype (Adamson in J. S. African Bot. 27: 127. 1961): [icon] " Alsine Lotoides Sicula " in Boccone, Icon. Descr. Rar. Pl. Siciliae: 21, 20, t. 11, f. 2 B. 1674 (see p. 109). - Typotype: Boccone s.n. (OXF).

Generitype of Glinus Linnaeus.

Current name: Glinus lotoides L. View in CoL ( Molluginaceae ).

Note: Jeffrey (in Hubbard & Milne-Redhead), Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Aizoaceae : 15 (1961) indicated a Boccone specimen at OXF as “typolectotype”. However, despite its links with Boccone’s illustration, the material would not have been seen by Linnaeus and is not original material for the name. It is treated here as typotype material.
