Diagnosis ( Jeannel, 1949: 36): Length 2.3 mm, head elongate, about twice as long as wide and about as long as pronotum, eyes small, prominent, rostrum almost truncate but with small median excavation, pronotum slightly longer than wide, with antebasal fovea, lacking any sulcus, elytra longer than pronotum, with two weakly-defined basal foveae and fine sutural striae, simple, lacking trichomes, posterior corners slightly rounded, midlegs modified in males, abdomen with wide and rounded basal impression. Antennae with antennomeres I −III minuscule, subequal, IV −VI large, terminal antennomere slightly longer than V, truncate at apex.
Species included. Clavigeropsis formicarius Raffray, 1882 .
Distribution. Eritrea.
