Euro-Asian species widely distributed from Europe to Japan, introduced into North America. In Siberia and the Far East, it lives on various species of larch ( Larix View in CoL ). In Mongolian Altai the species was collected in a small larch forest from Larix sbibrica growing on a steep shadow slope, on Kanas Lake from the canopy of mature larch trees. First record for Xinjiang.
Material examined. 6 ♂, 4 ♀, Altai, Daqinggeli R., 20 km N of Qinghe 1400–1600 m (46°52'N; 90°20'E) 27.VI.2011 (N. Vinokurov); 1 #, Altai, Kanas Lake, 1370 m (48°42'N; 87°01'E), 1.VII.2011 (N. Vinokurov).
