Neomarica portosecurensis ( Ravenna 1988: 7) Chukr View in CoL in Chukr & Giulietti (2001: 379)
≡ Trimezia portosecurensis Ravenna (1988: 7) View in CoL . Type (lectotype, designated here):—[ BRAZIL]. Bahia: Santa Cruz de Cabrália, Reserva Biológica do Pau-Brasil , 17 September 1971, T. S. Santos 1954 ( CEPEC 7721 About CEPEC !; isolectotype: NY barcode 00593467!). ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ) .
Trimezia portosecurensis View in CoL was described by Ravenna (1988), who cited T S. Santos 1954 (Herbarium Ravenna) as the holotype, which is considered non-existent following the current accepted custom with respect to treatment of type specimens of the Herbarium Ravenna (e.g., Deble & Alves 2017a, 2017 b, Gil et al. 2019). The isotype consulted at CEPEC has a preserved flower and thus it is chosen here as the lectotype ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ) (Art. 9.3 & 9.12, Turland et al. 2018).
