(figs 1–14)
Type material
Holotype ɗ, BANGLADESH, Sylhet, x.2004, ex larva of Dicladispa armigera (M.Rabbi) ; Paratypes 5 ɗ, 1 &, same data as Holotype ( BMNH); Nontype material: 4 ɗ, BANGLADESH, Baniachong, Habiganj, 30.viii.2004, ex larva of Dicladispa armigera ( BMNH); 1 ɗ, 1 &, BANGLADESH, Gazipur, BRRI compound 21.iv.2003, ex larva of Dicladispa armigera ( BMNH).
Diagnosis
Head with deep sutures on the vertex, these connected into a complete transvertexal suture (fig. 11). Malar space comparatively long (0.3 times as long as eye height, about 0.7 times as long as breadth of mouth). Femora, tibiae, tarsi and antennal scape of both sexes predominantly pale, scape of male comparatively broad (fig. 10), 2.6–2.7 times as long as broad. Pedicel, flagellum, coxae, and gaster of both sexes dark.
Male
Colour. Scape pale with extreme tip weakly darkened, remaining antennomeres dark (fig. 10). Mesosoma bright green, acropleuron pale; head somewhat darker, metasoma brown. Coxae and fore tarsi dark, remaining parts of legs pale, hind femur weakly infuscate dorsally. Wings hyaline, veins pale.
Length of body: 0.7 mm.
Head. Head in dorsal view (fig. 11) twice as broad as long. Occipital margin rounded. Vertex with distinct sutures between posterior ocelli and eye orbits (fig 14, vs). Occiput with sutured median line (fig. 13). Vertex raised between ocelli, and more roughly sculptured than rest of head, the inner margins of the frontal sutures raised (fig. 14: fs). POL:OOL = 3.0.
Frontal sutures angular, not reaching eye orbits (fig. 3). Antennae attached at a distance subequal to the diameter of the antennal torulus, above level of lower ocular line (fig. 2). Antennal scape comparatively wide (fig. 10), 2.6–2.7 times as long as broad, not reaching median ocellus (figs 1, 3). Pedicel about 1.2–1.3 times as long as broad, slightly longer than first funicular segment. Antenna with one anellus. First and second funicular segments subequal in length, about 1.2 times as long as broad, three apical segments fused, first of them of the same width as first and second funicular segments, the rest narrowing apically (fig. 10); combined length of pedicel and flagellum as long as breadth of head.
Eye height 3 times as long as malar space, breadth of mouth 1.5 times as long as malar space (figs 1, 2). Frons weakly reticulate. Frontofacial sutures (scrobal sulci) deeply channelled and continued downwards into subtorular sutures; interscrobal ridge moderately convex (figs 1–3).
Mesosoma. Pronotum elongate, its dorsal stripe not delimited by a carina, 0.2–0.3 times as long as mesoscutum (fig. 4). Mesoscutum 1.5 times as broad as long (figs 5, 6). Notauli traced anteriorly and continued posteriorly as wide depressions. Scutellum 1.3 times as long as broad (fig. 4). Mesoscutum and scutellum very lightly reticulate. Dorsellum and propodeum smooth; propodeum about 0.3 times as long as scutellum, propodeal callus with two setae (fig. 4). Transepimeral sulcus distinctly curved anteriorly (fig. 5: tps). Fore wing (fig. 8) about 2.3 times as long as broad; length of wing 3.6–3.8 times as long as marginal vein. Length of apical fringe: submarginal vein in widest part 2: 1. Length of marginal: postmarginal: stigmal veins = 10: 2: 2. Costal cell narrow. Speculum closed below.
Metasoma. Petiole short, with collar evident dorsally. Gaster 2.5 times as long as broad, about as long as mesosoma.
Female
Length 0.75 mm, body green, metallic (fig. 7), with brown tint on gaster and weak copper tinge on face; scape predominantly pale, weakly infuscate apically (fig. 9). Pedicel and flagellum brown; coxae dark, femora and tibiae pale. Head in dorsal view (fig. 11) twice as broad as long, POL twice OOL; sutures on vertex (fig. 11: vs) connected medially by interocellar suture, forming complete transvertexal suture (fig. 11: tvs). Median occipital line meets transvertexal suture, forming a Yshaped pattern (fig. 11). Antennal scape 4.3 times as long as broad, pedicel twice as long as broad, F1: F2: clava in the following proportions: 2: 2: 7 (fig. 7). Combined length of pedicel and flagellum about as long as breadth of head. Mesosoma (fig. 7) 1.5 times as long as broad, metasoma 1.6 times as long as broad (fig. 7), transepimeral sulcus weakly curved (fig. 5, tps). Fore wing 2.2–2.3 times as long as broad.
