Near Monterey, Nuevo Leon; Dr. Edwards & Major Eaton ”. The specimen NY 00273216 has three branches identified by letters: a and b refer to the syntype collected by Bigelow s.n. in “wet ravines, Eagle Pass, Sept. 28, 1852 ”, whereas c refers to the syntype collected by Edwards & Eaton s.n. “ near Monterey, Mexico ”. Another duplicate of Bigelow s.n. in GH consists only of a small fragment of the branch with a few leaves and some seeds. The specimen Edwards & Eaton s.n.
