Chinoperla gorohovi Sivec & Stark, 2010 View in CoL
( Figs. 1–3 View FIGURE 1 View FIGURE 2 View FIGURE 3 )
Materials examined. 2 males ( CAU) , 1 male and 1 female ( HIST), China: Yunnan Province, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Mengla County, Menglun Town , 55km east of Jinghong City , 22.0788 N, 101.1434 E, 880–900 m, 2007. IV.27–28, leg. Hui Dong. GoogleMaps
Distribution. China (Hainan and Yunnan provinces); Vietnam.
Remarks. The fishtail-shaped sclerotized dorsobasal marking on aedeagal tube, a long ventrally directed spine about as long as one fourth aedeagal length and the slender, nail-shaped median sclerite with an enlarged tip of the above specimens, indicate that these males are conspecific with Chinoperla gorohovi Sivec & Stark, 2010 ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ). Although much paler distally, the forewing subcosta (Sc) of these fully aged specimens seems normal in length ( Fig. 1B View FIGURE 1 ), which previously is only known in C. nigroflavata ( Wu, 1948) ( Mo et al. 2021) . The specimens from Guangdong Province have short Sc possibly because of paler subcostal area due to long preservation. The darker habitus ( Figs. 1A View FIGURE 1 , 2A View FIGURE 2 ) and the obtuse tip of hemitergal processes ( Figs. 2B–D View FIGURE 2 ), herein can be regarded as intraspecific variation. The species is recorded in Yunnan Province for the first time.
