Report as epibiont on bryozoans: Wailes (1943) reported Thuricola valvata as epibiont on bryozoans from Pacific coast of Canada, British Columbia ( Mccauley & Hancock 1971).

Report as epibiont on other hosts: The species is characteristic as cosmopolite ( Kahl 1935), inhabiting on algae, Bryozoa and other marine organisms. It was also reported from freshwaters of Ukraine ( Gassovsky 1960).
