This grass living species was described from South Africa with one synonym from Taiwan, and is widely distributed in Southeast Asia ( Minaei & Bami 2018). It is very similar to P.longiceps View in CoL in general body features, but is distinguished by the the dark base of fore wings and male sternites with broad oval pore plate, whereas in P. longiceps View in CoL the fore wings are completely pale and the male pore plate smaller and round ( Minoura & Masumoto 2016).
