The species was first described from Egypt, and is widely didtributed in southern Mediterranean countries, to China and India ( Minaei & Mound 2015) and is also known from Iran, Israel, Yemen and Saudi Arabia (Rasool et al. 2021).

Material studied. All from leaves of Lycium shawii except where mentioned. Al Baha.
