REMARK

A sheet of Musa peekelii was recently sent to us from WRSL, concordant with the type citation ( Lauterbach 1914), viz. New Ireland Distr. [Neu Mackleburg], Lahur bei Namatani, auf roten Lehm, 9.III.1910, Peekel 390 (holo-, WRSL!) ( Fig. 2 ). The lectotype designed by us is thus superseded by the rediscovery of this holotype ( McNeill et al. 2006: Art. 9.17).
