Locus typicus: New Caledonia.
Primary type: 2 Syntypes (MNHN 9832) a third syntype (IRSN) is probably lost (pers. comm. Yves Terryn).
Material examined: ZISP: 2 subadult spms, Cicia Island [17°45’S 179°18’W], Callisto St. 83, 0.3 m, leg. Boris I. Sirenko, 0 6 February 1975, wet.
Habitat: The specimens were found on a porous reef flat, which was covered with some living corals and crustose calcareous algae.
Distribution: The species was known from New Caledonia only ( Kaas et al. 2006).
Remarks: This is the first record of this species from Fiji.
