We reared 30 Lonchaeinae (lance flies) from galls of C. quercuscornigera . These specimens keyed to genus Lonchaea Fallén ( McAlpine et al. 1987) . Lance flies are often associated with fallen trees and burrows of bark beetles ( McAlpine et al. 1987; Marshall 2012).
